Homemade Energy Drink Recipe Made Using Healthy Natural Tea.

Do-it-yourself (DIY) energy drink boosts your power and your health.

I really like the EnerT energy drink homemade recipe that contains caffeine from tea with sugar and lemon juice for flavor (EnerT the DIY energy drink - Yaniverse), but 2 tea bags for 4 cups of drink does not provide very much energy stimulation. Tea contains less caffeine than coffee, so I want at least 1 tea bag per cup to make an energy drink that will give me a useful power boost.

John Weisburger, PhD, senior researcher at the Institute for Cancer Prevention "recommends drinking six to 10 cups of black or green tea throughout the day ..." (Antioxidants in Tea - WebMD) to promote good health, so drinking large amounts of tea as an energy drink provides a double benefit.

"Green tea has been extensively studied in people, animals, and laboratory experiments. Results from these studies suggest that green tea may be useful for the following health conditions: Atherosclerosis ... High cholesterol ... Cancer ... Inflammatory Bowel Disease ... Diabetes ... Liver disease ... Weight loss ... tooth decay ... inflammatory diseases." (Green tea health benefits - Univ Maryland Medical Center)

Commercial bottled tea drinks taste great, but unfortunately the healthy components from the tea are removed during processing (Sugary bottled teas strip out antioxidants, health benefits). Thus, these bottled tea drinks are just another flavor of junk food in our grocery stores, no good for energy or for health.

Tea that you brew at home is a very healthy natural drink. "Black, green, white and oolong teas all contain polyphenols" which rank them among the highest for antioxidant potential among plant-based foods." (Which tea offers the most health benefits? - HealthCastle) Tea promotes cardiovascular health, reduces cancer risks and improves immune function. (Research on the Potential Health Benefits of Tea - Tea Assoc USA) "Regular tea drinkers, people who drink two cups or more a day, have less heart disease and stroke, lower total and LDL (often called "bad") cholesterol, and ... they recover from heart attacks faster." (Antioxidants in Green and Black Tea - WebMD) Many health professionals agree that "green tea has important antioxidants and compounds that help in maintaining good health." (Green Tea Health Benefits - WebMD) Brassica Tea contains even more antioxidant through additions of SGS, a natural antioxidant found in broccoli which helps in removing free radicals from the body and helps in reducing the risk of cancer. (Brassica Tea)
